OLD IS GOLD WITH SOPONSORS OF THE UNION SINCE 2005 TO 2018 ACHIEVEMENETS!!!

It all started in April 2005 when Jackson Mubiru and Shael Swart build Uganda/East Africa first skateboard ramp in Kitintale Zone 12, Nakawa Division, and Kampala District! Later in 2007, a skate park was added with the help of the Canadian Park designers Mathew Morgan and Brian Lye and Grindline Skate parks, from Seattle/United States of America (USA).  The park was built by the youth of Kitintale Community and funded by friends from all over the World. (This project depends on donation up to date!) In April 2005 the Uganda Skateboard Union was founded!!

Nik Strong-Cvetich from Freeland,WA USA and Yann-Gross / Anne-Cecle  from  Lausanne Switzerland, where the  antiquities indicators which helped by the beginning to let people abroad to know the Union project!

In 2008, TONY HAWK foundation discovers the Uganda Skateboard Union by then! The foundation supported USU with all Skateboard equipment’s includes the portable Fresh Park, Vans Skateboard Shoes, Bird House Skateboards, Helmets and so many others! Tony Hawk sponsored the Union up to 2009 and Skateboarding culture was displayed to outsiders from abroad!

Skate-Aid came involved in 2010 to support this project. Renovation surface of the park was the first, Construction of the Union headquarters and Organizing skateboard Contests and much more. January 2014, The Uganda Skateboard Union was being awarded with Skate-Aid-Charity award (Which includes prizes money of 5,000 Euros at the Bright European Tradeshow in Berlin/Germany. September & October in the very year, Jackson Mubiru and Sedrick Kidiima, traveled & visited Germany Skate-Aid head Office! They finally received the Award on October 09 during the annual Skate-Aid night. The money used to finish the Union Office storage closed to the Skate Park.

On February 2018, Skate-aid supported & funded the Extension at Kitintale Skate Park Kampala.  A volunteer Antonia Hahmann, who received the money (Donation) from Skate-aid Office & Jackson Mubiru, was the responsible for the construction of the project during the extension at Kitintale Skate Park! The Union had a general challenge of materials incensement in Uganda, because of fuel Crisis in our Country Uganda! We managed to use the donated money; unfortunately the funded money from Skate-Aid was not enough!!  We are looking forward to look for more support to get 9,671,751/= Ug Shillings for smoothening using Terrazzo on the extension park to be done!

The only project in East Africa, which managed to promote the game of Skateboarding is known as Skate-Aid! they did their best to pull up East African Counties to much with the rest of the developed Skateboarding Countries in Europ, Aisa, USA,Canada etc. So, its upto you to judge your Country, the out standing of Skateboarding and think about the Olympics are knocking on your door Country!! so please!
