Finally sad news happened to Uganda Skateboard Union! Mubiru Jackson’s Mom Joyce Magrate Nalutaya died of Liver cancer! She was sick since 13/05/2017 and she died on 08/12/2017.She was the first lady in Uganda, who supported Jackson dream of Skateboarding to happen at Kitintale Community! She was born on 05/02/1940 and left the world on 08/12/2017! Joyce was the grandmother of the two kids Mubiru Emmanuel and Ndagire Racheal who are Skateboarders! The Burial took place at Mukono the next town heading to Jinja road near Mbooma Seat light. May her sole rest in peace!
In the beginning of the year 2018, one of the Union Kids known as Wala Don Robson, he had an accident at the Park during the preparation of the Union Skate Jam! He got a simple hip fracture during the evening training exercise for the Jam! He is recovering slowly & please, quick recovery!!!
As usual every year, Skate-Aid support and donates equipment’s to Uganda Skateboard Union. This time, it was so unique and massive for the Union to have brand new Skate Aid Element skateboards, Creature Skateboards, Independent, Trucks, and T-shirts, tsG helmets, Stickers, Skate-aid Vans shoes and so many other equipments.
The first history Volunteer to Uganda Skateboard Union, Antonia Hohmann from Germany (Skate Aid Munster). She helped a lot at the Union during the Extension building Construction of the Park! She came on 23/01/2018 & went back on 23 February 2018.The Union management appreciates Antonia and Skate aid at large!
The Uganda Skateboard Union appreciated a lot to people who made it happen to fundraise & supported Skate-Aid to donate equipment’s! The extension of the Union is still incomplete and we need more money to be finished! The money was not enough due to the increasing of the material crisis, plus budgeting plans where for some time one year back! A lot of people supported this extension from the foundation ground up to day the stage where it is! Smoothening process part is the only remaining on

It was on this step stage, until Skate-Aid suported also to this stage where it is!
It was so tough work during the construction and materials went up compared to the budget we had in 2016.
Antonia worked hard & supported a lot at the construction! Union appriciates a lot to the family of Antonia!
Its going to be massive when this park is done at Union park!
Action packed went on good and casting, a lot of friends joined construction as you can see kids enjoying the process!
The Casting mixture machine was brought to make the work easy and simple to the Skateboarders!
Kids and all Skaters, BMX Riders 256 also came to help at the construction of the extension!
Experience the love of the culture (Skateboarding) at the Uganda Skateboard Union Extension!
This casting process was so tiresomely to all skaters but the work went on good and superior actions!!
The extension of the Union is still incomplete and we need more fundraising to be finished with the smooth surface known as Teranzo!
